When you are posting articles to a directory, do not expect to receive any money. Although there are some sites that will pay you for content, but when it comes to article directories this is not the case. Instead you will be able to put a anchor link in the resource box of your article, which will give you keyword authority for that word.

Another thing is that many article directories will require you to be a member before you are able to publish an article. Although there are some that will let you submit your articles without having to create an account with them.

Some of the big article directories like Ezine Articles and Ezine Power Publisher will allow you to submit only 10 articles for newcomers. If they like the quality of work you submit, you will be able to submit unlimited articles to them, and also get a faster review time then those writers just signing up.

All you really have to do to get your articles approved by the admin of a directory is to write original content, and do not put more than 3 anchor links throughout the article, including the resource boxes. If you submitted a legit article and weeks have went by without it being published, just kindly send the admin an email.
