Best Strength

I personally tend to like to listen to bands and songs for days or weeks at a time and then like to move on to something different. I like to listen to music while I am my computer. Over the years I found most new bands that I become aware of that are not mainstream and on the radio all the time over at http://www.purevolume.com.

What is nice about purevolume is that they update their homepage about once a week with new featured bands. I tend to look around at the bands on the homepage every week and listen to songs by them to see if I like them. Purevolume is also great because you can listen to music by streaming it.

I have found many new bands on purevolume that I enjoy listening to and have even went out to the store and bought some of their albums. I did this with the band sherwood whom I think is great.

I know that Tom over at http://www.pushstandards.com recently launched his new website where unsigned bands are discovered over at http://www.discoverunsigned.com. While I am not sure how successful he will be, it is important for musicians to have an outlet to new audiences.

What ways are you currently learning about new bands and hearing new songs that are not just being played on the radio?
