How easy are they to contact? Do they have a telephone number or an easy email address. Better still, do they have online chat to help deal with the little problem which may crop up? If you let these things come as a surprise when you need them most, for example, in the middle of an emergency, then you will be tearing your hair out in frustration in no time. Check them out, do your homework. Many overseas companies are excellent.

Another important factor that should be kept in mind is the time zone your hosting provider is located in because it will have an impact on your business. This may cause gaps in communication, common time zone to work in, unless they work as per your timings. Though most of them claim to have 24/7 customer-service, make sure they live up to their promises by contacting them at odd times.
